Melbourne is not scary generally, some people are weird but they never actually do anything to you. I'm never frightened during these encounters, just incredibly awkward in that 'why is this happening' way. The suburb I grew up in had this notoriously dangerous train station, lololol. There must have been a drug dealer in the area that looked like me because sometimes when I was there people would come up to me and be like, "Hey, I scored off you last week" and try to buy more drugs from me. That was pretty blankface.

I THINK I SEEM ALOOF TOO, it's just that when people speak to me I smile and am polite because that's the only way I know to manage social interactions with strangers.
