I named them Shuji and Akira because I'm a total nerd. Akira is a girl. Details, details. I got Shuji two weeks ago. He is five and a half months old. When he was younger he had an eye infection and had to have cosmetic surgery, and his eyes still weep a bit. My poor defective baby T_______T. He is a Russian Blue and sometimes seems more like a dog than a cat. He's really clumsy, it's hilarious. He loves people and runs everywhere. When I'm downstairs and he's running around upstairs it's like thunder. He sleeps on my chest a lot, though not as much since Akira came.











Then came Akira. She is a snow mink Bengal. She's either three and a half months or five months, we're not exactly sure. Her vaccination forms say five months, which I'm inclined to believe. We got her on Saturday. She has pale spots that will get darker like a leopard :x. Up until late yesterday afternoon we were unsure if she could walk because she just slept or laid in her box the whole time. Today she's all playful though, which is comforting.











Shuji is totally obsessed with her, he wanted to be BFF right away. She kept hissing at him and he'd back off and then just go up to her again. She seems to be warming to him. They've been chasing each other around and stuff. She still hisses at him a lot but it seems to be part of the game. Her chasing him while hissing. She's such a bully. Hilarious. SHE MEOWS CONSTANTLY, annafreud WILL FIND IT SO DISTRESSING. It kills me that Shuji is all LOVE ME and Akira wants him to go away. They've totally swapped characters. Whenever Shuji walks off looking rejected I'm like, :((.







My brother thinks the names are cheesy. That's even before he knew they were from TV. I have no idea what I'd call them if I did not name them after jpop stars though, so there's not much I can do about it. Besides, he can't talk, he's the one that called our dog Cosmo.

My thesis is going really badly, so I won't talk about it at length. Changing supervisors is a really bad idea. My flow totally broken. I am totally and completely demoralised. I can't fucking wait until December. Uni is depressing me so much.

I've seriously watched about forty hours of youtube in the past week, between jpop clips and The Daily Show. Last week I watched that show with Nishikido Ryo about the cabin attendants. The show sucked but Nishikido Ryo ruled. Oh Japan, how would I procrastinate without you.
